I'm married! And moving!

Hello blog friends =) I got married on Saturday and it was awesome! We had a great wedding. Lots of people came and we were so excited to share our day with all of them.

On another note, I'm partnering up with my hubby, Logan Vander Wiel on our new blog. So this is my last post here, but you can continue to get updates here. Hope you enjoy! =)

Busy much???

So! I have been super busy lately. Let's take a look!

Wednesday:
So this is the busiest day by far, here we go!
-Went to the courthouse with Maggie and Logan to sign up for our marriage license. Maggie was a most superb witness =P
-After that, we went back to Logan's, walked with his little brothers to McDonald's, got some food, then hurried back to their house, where it was time to scurry on over to the next thing we had to do...
-At one, we got to the mall, got our eyebrows done at Regis. The lady there is also doing my hair for the wedding, so she sort of showed me what she's going to do. Then we went around and did some shopping for Logan
-Went back to Logan's house, picked up my wedding dress and shoes, then went to Annie's Alterations. She played around with my dress til we got it bustled just right. I get to pick it up on Wednesday, all bustled and pressed.
-After that, we went back to Logan's again (it was about 3:30 at this point) . I made appointments for my bridal party at La James for manicures and pedicures on the 26th. Kara and I then went to Rhiannon's (my bridesmaid) house. Her mother is making beautiful jewelry for the bridal party. Got to try my necklace and earrings on. SO EXCITED!
-After that, Kara and I ran back to the house and picked Logan up and we went to pick out out bed for our new house! =) I'm so excited. It's so comfy and happy. I love it!! Thank you Kurt and Kara!!

Thursday:
I had to work from 9-3 at Hy Vee, then I went home and changed, then went back in to Logan's and had dinner and played Harvest Moon for a long time. It was very fun though. This was a much more low key day =P

Friday (today!)
I have some laundry to do for sure, and some cleaning. Erin and I are getting lunch and we're going to finish up the ribbons on the bubble jars. She just got back from Bonaroo, a music festival in Tennesee. Sounds like she had a pretty fun time! Can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories =) We had originally talked about going swimming with the Vander Wiel boys, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen or not...

Anyway, I gotta go get started on some of that laundry! Have a spectacular day! =)

Sleepy!

Updating from Logan's house today =P

Got done at ol' Hy Vee at around 4, been there since 9 this morning. I had the same hours yesterday too. Very glad to be done and have tomorrow off of work! We have several things to do, so here's what's on the agenda for tomorrow:

-Getting my eyebrows waxed and having a test-run with my hair dresser!
-Gotta go apply for a marriage license. There's a three day waiting period, so I'll probably be able to pick it up at the very end of this week or the beginning of next.
-Go try on my wedding jewelry. One of my bridesmaid's mother is making all the jewelry for the wedding party. It's going to look awesome! I just have to go make sure it's the right length.

I really want to go swimming! I haven't been to a pool in ages, and I just want to go on a water slide, hang out in a pool, anything! I need to see if tomorrow would work for that too...
---Must be careful not to get a sunburn!!

I think that's all for today... more updates to come! =)

Cherry Pie

So today is Father's Day. Whee! Went to church with Logan this morning, then came home and made a cherry pie for my dad. I also got him an iTunes gift card so I can get some music for his iPod.

Let me tell you what. Pie crust can be such a painto make! I made four pies for thanksgiving (one of them gluten free!!) and all the crusts turned out great. This dough was just a little too moist ( I think) and most of the crust fell off in the oven and burned. The pie itself was fine and tasted yummy, but it just looked a little weird =P

I'm watching an infomercial right now about a steamer. Instead of an iron you use this thing and it's about 4x faster. Infomercials are so stupid, but sometimes I can't help but watch. Sad news: I want this little gadget! Seriously...stuff like this is so much more exciting if you're getting married. I hate ironing. HATE. I also fail at it. Epic fail. I scorched a suit jacket one time. Then again, I was like, 14. Whatever. I don't do that anymore, but it's such a pain. I just want this little steamer guy. I told my mom about it...maybe!

I'm really excited for some movies coming out soon. The Hulk, Wall-e... okay I had more but I forgot them. Crap =P Anyway, I definitely want to see those two. Wall-e looks so cute =D Plus, it's Pixar, so it's bound to be good. I have never been disapointed with a Pixar film.

Okay, I think that's where I'm gonna end for the evening. I have to work from 9-4 at Hy Vee tomorrow.

w00t! 2 weeks!

So, 2 weeks from today I will be a married woman! Craziness! =) I'm super excited =D

I'm at the Russell House today til 5pm, then I have to change here, then scoot over to the Lockard's house for our little party thing. Should be a good time!

I've been so ridiculously busy since summer started. No relaxation time! Kind of a bummer, but meh. I have to work next week, then I have the week of the wedding off, as well as the following week for the honeymoon.

Anyway, as far as this school year goes, I did a pretty good job =) My grades were good, and I made it out alive, so it was a positive experience ; )

Well, I guess that's really all for now...hadn't updated in a while, so I thought I'd better write something! More to come soon I'm sure =)
